EFC offers a variety of classes no matter what level of fitness you’re at!

 

Evans Fitness Club is dedicated to providing our members with a variety of classes to fit any level of fitness. At EFC, we understand that everyone’s fitness needs and levels are different- we offer over 100 classes a week in both the morning and afternoon to accommodate all schedules and interest.  Whether your skills are beginner or advanced, EFC will guide you to your next fitness goal with the help of our amazing Group X instructors.

CLASSES

BOOTY BARRE FLEX & FLOW

BOOTYBARRE FLEX & FLOW is an all levels, fast-paced 60 minute workout by BootyBarre that incorporates pilates principles. This class utilises resistance bands for upper body sculpting, core and back strengthening, and flexibility for a total body workout.

MUSCLE WORX

Our Muscle Works instructors mix high and low intensity moves to bring you a toning and muscle building workout. This workout is perfect for everyone from the fitness novice to the experienced gym goer. In 55 minutes you will push your body to function at its best while enjoying an atmosphere with good music and friends!

S-T-R-E-T-C-H & RELAX

Stretch those tired, sore, tight muscles while relaxing and exploring deep breathing. Perfect for all levels and abilities.

HOT YOGA

Dynamic yet gentle workout that emphasizes body awareness and coordinates movement with breathing in a heated room. Learn how to move in new ways to develop flexibility, strength, and balance.

SIMPLYFIT

SIMPLYFIT designed to increase cardiovascular fitness with low-impact exercises that help increase muscle strength and bone density, improve balance and functional training for increased range of motion to improve daily living. SimplyFit is our SIMPLE answer for members seeking a class similar to Fit Over 50 that offers simple workouts with several intensity levels. This class is perfect for anyone recovering from surgery or injury, pregnant women, postpartum mothers, as well as seasoned athletes who want to work on form, posture, and range of motion.

SLOW FLOW VINYASA

SLOW FLOW VINYASA structured similarly to a Vinyasa class including sun salutations and flowing from one posture to the next, but we drop the tempo a little bit. Postures might be held a little longer and you will move more mindfully from one pose to the next allowing for more mindfulness and alignment work. Just because “slow” is in the title, do not think that means easy!

WERQ

WERQ the wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on trending pop and hip hop music. Our mission is to create a judgement-free dance space built on good vibes, a good sweat, and a supportive community.

Foam Rolling

Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release (SMR) technique. It can help relieve muscle tightness, soreness, and inflammation, and increase your joint range of motion. We use a family of tools to help you perform self-massage from head to toe, all on your own.

Push

Push Zone Training is a heart rate based interval training program that utilizes the treadmill, bike, rower & strength training to give you a highly effective, challenging, and fun workout. The workout is different every day to keep your body guessing.

CYCLING STUDIO

CYCLE

You will climb, sprint and train to incredible music and fun drills in this awesome heart pumping indoor cycle class. For 45 minutes, start pedaling and let go as your instructor takes you on the ride of your life! It is perfect for beginner cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, recreational cyclists and serious racers alike!

LES MILLS RPM™

RPM™ is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact and you can burn up to 675 calories a session. With great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly spin the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness. RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw on the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race!

LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT

BODYCOMBAT is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 740 calories** in a class. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door.

LES MILLS BODYJAM™

Choreographed by Gandalf Archer-Mills in Auckland, New Zealand, BODYJAM™ is the ultimate combination of music and dance. It’s the modern dance class with hip hop, house, drum & bass with the freshest moves. Tracks that you love right now? They’re in BODYJAM. That new style you’ve heard about? It was in BODYJAM last year. BODYJAM is available as either a 55, 45 or 30-minute workout.

LES MILLS BODYPUMP™

BODYPUMP™ is a barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories**. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.

ZUMBA®

Perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.

LES MILLS CORE

Exercising muscles around the core, LES MILLS CORE provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favorite sports – it’s the glue that holds everything together. All the moves in LES MILLS CORE have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30-minute workout trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt and lower back exercises.

DANCE & CORE

Drop it, Pop it, but don’t Stop it! Join a high intensity, dance fitness class set to fun Hip Hop, Pop, Caribbean, and Afro Beats music. This class is great for all fitness levels. In this class, you will get a full body workout with great moves! Start out with a dance party and finish with Core work on the mat!

SIMPLYFIT

Kids

KID FIT

Kids Fit is a 45 minute fitness class designed for children ages 6-12 years old. Your child will improve coordination, build endurance and strength, increase flexibility, and have fun! It doesn’t matter if they are involved in sports or not – this class is easy to follow and will set them up for a lifetime of physical activity.

BOOT CAMP

Get in shape “bootcamp” style! Experience high intensity, full body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper and lower body that are specifically designed to “make it rain,” with sweat. From circuit style routines that jump start your cardio fitness to creative muscle toning exercises using dumbbells, exercise bands or even your own body weight – each class brings its own unique challenges. No two classes are the same so you will get a different work out every time!

LES MILLS GRIT™ STRENGTH

LES MILLS GRIT™ Strength is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. LES MILLS GRIT Strength takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.

TABATA BOOTCAMP™

“The unique protocol used in Tabata Bootcamp™ is the 20-10 microburst intervals. An interval consists of performing specifically chosen exercises at an ultra high intensity for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of rest. The beauty behind these short microbursts is that 20 seconds at high intensity is doable and the 10 second rest allows for brief recovery before moving on to the next exercise interval. These 20-10 microburst intervals are stacked in the 60 minute group workouts in specific sequences of different exercise movements that target every part of your body.” ~ Tabata Bootcamp

THE PLAYGROUND

The primary focus of this class is to provide a solid foundation into increasing overall strength and improved conditioning. Through a combination of Olympic style lifts and functional movements, we create a total body workout that is guaranteed to build your strength. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities from beginners to the experienced athletes. The Playground is a satisfying workout for everyone that attends this class.

Zen STUDIO

LES MILLS BODYBALANCE®

Ideal for anyone and everyone, BODYBALANCE® is the yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. During BODYBALANCE® an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centered. Happy.

BOOTYBARRE
Booty Barre is an energetic 60-minute ballet barre workout that blends deep muscle toning with intervals of fat blasting cardio techniques to firm up that booty! The dance inspired class combines the fluidity of ballet, the flexibility of yoga and the core strengthening of Pilates. No dance experience is required and this class is achievable for ALL fitness levels.

YOGA

Yoga is a dynamic yet gentle workout that emphasizes body awareness an coordinates movement with breathing. This lengthens and stretches your muscles while toning the entire body with core stabilization exercises to help improve posture and overall function. Learn how to move in new ways to develop your flexibility, strength, and balance.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA

This yoga class is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements.

HATHA YOGA

Hatha yoga is about balancing the body and mind. With ‘ha’ representing the esoteric sun, and ‘tha’ the moon, and the practice of Hatha yoga aiming to join, yoke, or balance these two energies. A Hatha Yoga class will involve a set of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques, practiced more slowly and with more static posture holds than perhaps a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class.

HOT VINYASA

“Vinyasa classes are known for their fluid, movement-intensive practices. Vinyasa teachers sequence their classes to smoothly transition from pose to pose, with the intention of linking breath to movement, and often play music to keep things lively. The intensity of the practice is similar to Ashtanga, but no two vinyasa classes are the same. If you hate routine and love to test your physical limits, vinyasa may be just your ticket,” ~ Gaiam

PILATES

“Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. Pilates is named for its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed the exercises in the 1920s. A Pilates routine generally includes exercises that promote core strength and stability, muscle control and endurance, including exercises that stress proper posture and movement patterns and balanced flexibility and strength,” ~ Mayo Clinic

HOT POWER YOGA

Hot Power Yoga incorporates the athleticism of Ashtanga, including lots of vinyasas (series of poses done in sequence) in a heated room to allow for deeper stretches and muscle flexibility. Power yoga is a general term used to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to yoga. Your instructor will teach you different poses in sequence to allow for total body strength training.

TOTAL BARRE®

Total Barre® A high-energy program focusing on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability. The predominantly standing workouts are driven by music which, when used appropriately, has been proven to increase coordination, motivation and improve movement quality.

RISE & SHINE YIN

A gentle, all levels class that focuses on opening and warming the body and restoring mobility and flexibility through long, passive holds and subtle movements. A great way to start the day!

SUNRISE SALUTATION

Start your morning right with invigorating sun salutes to bring energy to your day! Flow from one energizing asana to another while linking each movement with your breath. Open your heart, shoulders, hips and back while strengthening and toning your core, arms and legs.
